We have lots of equipment out and about, and it’s important to know that it’s all in good condition.

If you see anything unusual, such as a broken meter cover or a problem with a fire hydrant or valve, we’d love to know so we can get it fixed as soon as possible.

  • Is it dangerous? Where the faulty or damaged equipment is a serious safety hazard to you or anyone passing by, please call us straight away so that we can respond as quickly as possible.
  • Have we seen it already? If our technician has been to inspect, he will mark the area in blue, either on the roadway, pavement or cover. This means we have planned the repair and we'll be coming to fix it. You should not need to report it again unless it has gotten worse.
  • Is it a problem with a drain or flooding after rain? Unfortunately, we can't help with drainage problems, such as damaged or missing large manhole covers or flooding caused by blocked drains. The drains don't belong to us, and we can't touch them. If you need to report a problem with drainage, please contact the supplier for your area.

About the problem

Please note: We may need to carry out some digging to put things right. If the problem is not on the public highway, but is inside the property boundary, it'll help us if our repair teams already have your permission to dig. We will, of course take every care with any work we carry out.

If you select No, we will still inspect but this may cause a delay or prevent us carrying out the work.
