We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the burst water main and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

What's happened so far?
Friday 4th April 2025
(10:30) Repairs completed, tanker being removed, all customers are back in supply.
(10:00) Cut out repair is being prepared and will commence shortly, once this has been completed we will let you know.
(07:20) All customers are back in supply, repairs are continuing.
(06:30) The lamppost has been removed, electrics have been made safe by Hertfordshire Highways and our repairs can continue.
(04:15) Hertfordshire Highways have arrived to remove the lamppost, ETA for water tanker is 1 hour.
(03:15) A technician will pick up a tanker to restore the water supply to 2-8 Baxter Road, team still waiting for Hertfordshire Highways to arrive.
(02:35) Team still waiting for Hertfordshire Highways to come and remove the lamppost, team also working on a possbile tanker or overlander to restore supply to 2-8 Baxter Road.
Thursday 3rd April 2025
(23:50) The repair team have exposed the mains and it has split, meaning a cut out is required, due to where the split is and there being a lamppost this will need to be removed by Hertfordshire Highways before our works can continue. This is currently being arranged.
(22:45) Repair team have started to dig down to expose the burst mains, customers from 2-8 Baxter Road may experience no water, everyone else is back in full supply.
(22:05) The burst has been located on the smaller mains and has now been shut in, the second mains has been opened back up.
(21:05) Repair team have arrived on site.
(19:35) Technician is now closing one of the mains to contain the burst, they will then close the other main afterwards.
(19:15) Technician is on site and will be shutting the mains around the burst to contain it, once shut in all customers should be back in supply.
(18:45) Technician on route to investigate.
