Affinity Water is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming "Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire" event, organised by the Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP). The event will take place on Thursday, 5th September 2024, at the University of Hertfordshire's de Havilland campus and Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield.
The "Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire" event is part of a broader national initiative to support older adults in living healthier, happier, and longer lives.
The Movement is aimed at promoting active and healthy lifestyles and encourages older adults to be active as a means of increasing their healthy lifespan.
This event will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is expected to draw over 400 participants, with over 300 attendees attending last year.
At the event, Affinity Water will host a market stall offering valuable information and advice on various initiatives, including their Priority Services Register (PSR), water-saving tips through their "Save Our Streams" campaign, and details on the different tariffs designed to support customers. They will also showcase a range of water-saving devices, demonstrating practical ways to conserve water at home.
Liz Freitas, Inclusive Services Engagement Manager at Affinity Water, said: "We're thrilled to be part of the 'Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire' event, where we can connect with our community and share practical tips on water conservation and customer support. At Affinity Water, we're committed to both sustainability and ensuring that every customer has access to the resources they need to live healthier, happier lives."
This celebration day will feature keynote speakers, an informative marketplace, and physical activity sessions designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility.
Affinity Water is proud to contribute to this community effort by promoting water conservation and offering tailored services to support the well-being of residents. Their participation aligns with their commitment to environmental sustainability and their ongoing efforts to reduce water abstraction from sensitive chalk streams.
This event is free to attend, and we encourage participants to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, with water fountains available on-site. Comfortable clothing and supportive shoes are recommended for those taking part in the physical activities. Join the event to work together and create a healthier, more active community in Hertfordshire, and learn how Affinity Water is making a difference in sustainability and customer support.
