We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the broken fire hydrant and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

What’s happened so far?

Monday 31st March 2025

 

(01:20) Repairs completed, water restoring to all properties.

 

Sunday 30th March 2025

(22:30) A further leak has been located and the team needto extend the area they were excavating. All customers should have water at this time, but it may be lower pressure until repairs are completed.

(18:40) The team have begun digging to expose the damaged section of pipework

(15:10) The team are awaiting the arrival of a JCB for further excavation works

(14:55) The team are continuing to excavate to expose the damaged hydrant 

(13:50) Traffic management has arrived on site and the teams will be setting this up before excavations commence to expose the damage to the hydrant

(13:15) The teams are awaiting the arrival of traffic management before works can be started

(11:50) We have been made aware of a burst on a fure hydrant in your area, our technician is on site and the repair team as well as traffic management are on their way
