No water or low pressure in LU6
We’re really sorry if you have no water or lower pressure than usual. There is a burst main on Medley Close which may be causing this.

What we’re doing
Our technician and repair team are now on site and traffic management has now been set up. a rezone has been put in place and repair works are now underway. At this stage, you may be experiencing no water as the main has been shut in order to complete repair works.
As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we will let you know.
What you can do
Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Electrical appliances that use water
If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.
We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

What’s happened so far
Thursday 30th January 2025
(22:00) Valve has now been repaired and team minitoring mintoring pressure.
(19:30) A Cadent supervisor has to be on site before they can cut into the pipe and fit the valve.
(18:00) The team is currently installing a valve on the first burst and a team is on the way to fix the second burst.
(17:35) A second burst has been located causing no water to more properties in the area.
(14:05) Our repair team and traffic management are on their way to site
(10:45) Our loggers indicate that there may be a burst main in the area. Our technician is on route to site to investigate, at this stage, we expect no customer impact
