Your water is back on

We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the mains burst and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

What's happened so far?

(19:55) Mains recharged, all customers are back in supply.

(19:20) Repairs completed, valves to be opened and recharge, once this has been completed all customers should see their water restored.

(19:00) Team have exposed the mains, technician to shut the mains to allow cut out and repairs.

(18:00) Team need to dig further along in order to complete a cut out and the repairs.

(17:25) Team advised that they have located the leak and are attempting to repair this.

(16:45) Team have advised that works should take around 3 hours, due to thick layers of concrete.

(14:45) Repair team have started to dig to access mains to allow repairs.

(12:50) Repair team, JCB and traffic management have arrived, team will start to dig once road closure has been put into place.

(10:30) Our repairs team and traffic management team are on route.

(10:00) Our technician has located a burst on Walden Road, the valve has been shut as a rezone of water is not possible, customer within that zone will have no water until the burst main has been repaired.
