Interruption to your water supply - Houghton Regis - LU5

We’re really sorry for the problems you have had with your water supply today. We were made aware of a burst main on Bedford Road which may have caused this.

We have now restored water to the area and all customers should be on supply.

What we’re doing

Due to delays with receiving drawings for the network, works could not start earlier. These drawings have now been received and the team will be starting repair works now. All customers have remained with water supply during this delay. During the works, there is a chance that your water supply could be affected.

As soon as we know how much longer this will take, we will let you know.

What you can do

Because it can cause problems, if you do experience low pressure or no water at any time, until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:

  • Washing machine
  • Dishwasher
  • Electrical appliances that use water

If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair. We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

(18:05) Technicians are on site carrying out repairs

(18:30) A second burst has occurred and we are awaiting traffic management so our team can carry out this repair safely

(21:35) Traffic management has arrived on site and the team will now start repairs
