What's happened so far?
Thursday 20th February 2025
(14:10) Repairs completed, water has been restored to all properties. Mains are being flushed but this will have no customer impact.
(12:35) The mains have been shut in order to cut out the part of the pipe that needs to be replaced, customers within this shut will have no water, please see the streets affected above.
(10:30) The mains has been throttled and customers may experience low pressure, it will be shut off once the fittings arrive on site.
(10:10) Team have confirmed they will not be able to do a live repair, they will need to cut out part of the pipework and replace it, the fittings have been requested and are on route. We do not have an ETA as of yet, all customers are still in supply at this time.
(10:00) Leak has been located, team will attempt to do a live repair to not impact customers supply, should a throttle or shut be needed, we will let you know.
Wednesday 19th February 2025
(22:25) Team arrived on site and pumped water out of the excavation dug earlier on today, confirmed water is not coming from the valve previously repaired. Assistance from the leakage team has been requested who will attend site tomorrow to locate the origin of the leak. All customers are in supply, albeit at low pressure.
(19:40) Our technician has advised that the valve has started leaking again and has requested for the team to return to attempt a live repair, should this not be possible then the team will be returning tomorrow to complete the repair with the mains needing to be shut. This means customer within the shut will have no water, as soon as we know if the repair has been successful or if the team need to return, we will let you know.
(19:20) Flushing is still in place and valves will be opened once this has been completed, customers within this zone will have low pressure.
(17:10) Repairs have been completed, water has restored to all properties, our technician is flushing the mains, customers within this zone may experience low pressure until this has been completed.
(15:30) The mains had to be shut in order for the works to carry on, customers within this zone will have no water, please see the streets affected above.
