Your water will be back on

We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today. We’ve fixed the burst water main and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.

If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

What’s happened so far

Wednesday 4th December 2024

(10:50) We have started to receive a number of low pressure and no water calls which indicates an issue on  the network

(11:45) Water has been restored to the area, albeit at a lower pressure than normal

(12:25) A burst main has been located in a field near Gutteridge Farm

(12:55) Two farms still have no water

(17:00) Bottled water has been delieved to the two farms with no water

(20:15) The repair team have started digging to expose the burst main

(22:30) There are delays to the repair as an extra section of pipe is needed in order to complete the repair
