Your water will be back on
We’re really sorry for the problems with your water supply. We’ve fixed the burst water main and you’ll see your water flowing back to normal soon.
Appearance of your water
If your water is discoloured or cloudy, don’t worry this is normal. We know it doesn’t look nice, but it’s not harmful and you can help by running your cold tap until it’s clear. To find out more, please click here.

What's happened so far?
Friday 25th July 2025
(03:00) A temporary repair has been made, we will need to reattend tomorrow to complete repairs. The rezone has been reversed so all pressure will have returned to normal.
Thursday 24th July 2025
(23:00) The works have continued, causing low pressure.
(11:00) The main will need to be partially shut again later this evening to continue repairs, this will be done outside of peak hours.
(01:15) The team have replaced the bolts in the valve but it is still leaking, they are waiting for more equipment to make this safe. Some properties may still have low pressure while others have been restored.
Wednesday 23rd July 2025
(22:45) We have been made aware of more low pressure/no water calls.
(16:40) All customers are back in full supply, our team are still digging to expose the broken valve, this will have no impact on your supply.
(16:20) The rezones have been removed so the pressure should return to normal. The team are continuing repairs and if required the rezone will be put back in place this evening, so you may have low pressure again later today.
(15:20) The incident is also affecting the HA0 area, please check streets affected above.
(14:20) We are now expecting customers to have low pressure.
(13:45) A rezone is being put in place now so the team can shut the main and start repairs.
(10:00) Works had begun, no impact to customers water.
(07:00) Works planned to start at 10am today.
(03:30) They need to shut the main to be able to do these repairs, doing so without rezoning the water would have a massive impact.
(02:15) Technician on site to repair/install a valve.
