Low pressure
We’re really sorry you have lower pressure than usual. We've been made aware of a damaged valve causing this, and are in the process of arranging repairs for this valve.
You may find yourself having lower pressure than usual at peak demand times in the morning and evenings.

What you can do
Until we’ve sorted this, please avoid using your:
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Electrical appliances that use water
If you still have water, we recommend you put some in your kettle or fridge for drinking in case your water needs switching off for the repair.
We’re really sorry about this, we’re working to get your water back to normal as soon as possible.

What's happened so far
Tuesday 20th May 2025
(10:30) Our teams are continuing to plan in works. Due to permits and permission, this is taking longer than expected. All customers will still have water but may notice lower pressure at peak demand times.
Monday 19th May 2025
(10:20) Our operational team and water quality team are still in discussion about carrying out repairs to improve the pressure in the area.
Friday 16th May 2025
(15:45) Some repairs have been complete but there are still some issues that will be resolved in the evenings on Saturday and Sunday.
Thursday 15th May 2025
(01:20) There may still be an issue but the works have been postponed until the weekend.
Wednesday 14th May 2025
(18:15) They have found a valve that had been shut on French's Avenue, this has now been reopened and we are monitoring the pressures
Monday 12th May 2025
(17:10) The team are still investigating as they are unsure what the issue could be.
