We’re working in partnership with Cenergist to offer you a FREE MeterSave survey and device. It’s a simple way to reduce the amount of water you use and helps you save money on your water bill.
A qualified technician will visit your home to carry out a water-saving survey and offer to fit a FREE MeterSave device, as well as provide you with some water-saving tips.

What is a MeterSave device and what does it do?
A MeterSave device is a water-saving device that’s installed in your meter chamber and controls the amount of water that comes out of your supply pipe. Customers with a MeterSave device could save on average 69 litres of water every day without experiencing any reduction in their water pressure or changing their normal water use. Using less water could help you save up to £360 each year on your water and energy bills.
What happens at the appointment, and how long will it take?
To start with, you’ll meet a member of the Cenergist team. They’ll be wearing an Affinity Water uniform and have an Affinity Water ID.
They’ll provide you with information about the service. If you’re interested in having a MeterSave device installed, then (with your permission) they’ll enter the property to gather some information.
They’ll check your home to determine whether you can have a MeterSave device installed. If you can, they’ll then book a plumbing appointment. You don’t need to be at home for the plumbing appointment, but you’ll need to provide your signature as authorization for the device to be installed. This visit is usually completed within 20 mins.
A plumber will return to your property at the agreed appointment time (usually within 1-3 days of the first visit) to install the MeterSave device. This visit can also take up to 20 minutes.
When they’ve finished installing the device, the plumber will do the post-installation checks with you to:
- Provide you with information about the device.
- Check that your supply is working as normal.
They’ll then leave you with a card so that you can easily contact Cenergist directly if you have any issues with the device.
